I. INTRODUCTION

Fear of change is understandable, but those who want to succeed in the future are required to change. Managers need to implement change in organisations. One of the problems that they need to deal with in this task is resistance to change by employees. They need to understand the reasons for and the effects of this problem, be able to diagnose and analyse the main problem and then choose the right method to overcome the problem. This paper will discuss these issues. The paper is divided into five parts: introduction, reasons employees resist change, the effects of resistance to change, overcoming this problem and the conclusion.
